Airport & Aviation Delivery
AOG Courier Service in Atlanta
When an Aircraft Is Waiting, Every Minute Matters.
DSD Courier provides AOG courier service in Atlanta: urgent ground transport for aircraft parts when a plane is grounded and every hour costs money. We run 24/7, so a part that lands at Hartsfield-Jackson at 2 a.m. can be on its way to the hangar right away.

What we handle
Aviation shipments range from a single seal kit to a crated component on a pallet. What they share is a hard deadline set by a maintenance crew waiting on the ground. We move the part by road between airports, cargo facilities, repair stations and suppliers.
- AOG replacement parts and rotables
- Avionics and line-replaceable units
- Tooling and ground support equipment
- Repair station returns and exchanges
- Airport cargo terminal recoveries
- Inter-airport transfers within the region
- Hazmat-free consumables and hardware kits
- Technical documents and parts paperwork
How it works
AOG work rewards speed over ceremony. The fewer handoffs between the part and the aircraft, the faster it is back in service, so the process is deliberately short. Maintenance control gives us the essentials, we confirm a pickup time, and the driver goes. When documentation travels with the part, such as tags or certificates, it stays with the shipment and is handed to your receiver with it.
- 1
Send the AOG details
Tell us the airway bill or pickup reference, where the part is now, the destination ramp or hangar and the latest acceptable arrival time.
- 2
Recovery at the cargo facility or vendor
A driver recovers the shipment from the airline cargo counter, freight forwarder or supplier dock as soon as it is released.
- 3
Straight to the aircraft
The part rides directly to the repair station, FBO or hangar. No consolidation stops, no hub sort.
- 4
Handoff to your technician
We deliver to the named receiver and confirm by email, so maintenance control can close the loop and plan the return-to-service.
- 5
Core return, if needed
If the removed unit has to go back to the vendor, we can carry it on the return leg so the exchange stays on schedule.
What an AOG run looks like in practice
An aircraft-on-ground request usually starts with a part number, a location and a deadline. A rotable component is ready at a vendor's dock near the airport, and an aircraft is waiting at a hangar or ramp with a crew and a departure slot behind it. Send us the pickup address, the receiving contact, the release paperwork, and any gate, badge or escort requirements at the destination.
The driver collects the part with its documentation (shipping papers and whatever release tags or certificates the vendor provides) and keeps the paperwork with the box. We do not open, inspect or sign off on parts; that stays with your maintenance team. On arrival the driver hands the part to the named receiver and records the time and signature, so maintenance control knows exactly when the part reached the hangar.
Typical aviation shipments include starters, flight-control actuators, avionics line-replaceable units, fuel and hydraulic pumps, wheel assemblies, and kits of seals and fasteners. Charter operators, fixed-base operators, MRO shops and parts brokers also use us for return-to-vendor cores and urgent tooling. When the part sits at another Georgia airport within about 100 miles of Atlanta, the same direct process applies over the longer drive.
Who we serve
Our aviation customers are the teams that keep aircraft flying, not passengers. They need someone who understands that “ASAP” means the next available vehicle.
MRO and repair stations
Parts in, cores out, and vendor returns between shops and airports.
Charter and corporate flight departments
Urgent parts for business aircraft sitting at general aviation fields across the region.
Parts distributors and brokers
Same-day delivery from warehouse to customer ramp when an order is flagged AOG.
Freight forwarders
Last-mile recovery and delivery from airport cargo areas to the final consignee.
We are a ground transport partner, not a repair station or a freight forwarder, and we do not sign off on airworthiness or handle regulated dangerous goods. What we do is make sure the part your technicians need is in their hands as soon as the roads allow. Many customers pair us with their forwarder: the forwarder books the air leg, and we handle the drive at either end.
Coverage area
Hartsfield-Jackson is the hub of most aviation work we run, with regular movements to general aviation airports and repair shops on the north and west sides of the metro. Pickups and deliveries are available in all 20 cities below. Outside the metro, we also handle drives to and from other Georgia airports within about 100 miles when a part has to move by road instead of waiting for the next flight. If you are not sure whether a trip is in range, send the pickup and destination anyway and we will tell you straight away whether we can make the deadline, and what it will cost.

Why DSD
When an aircraft is grounded, the cost of waiting is measured in cancelled flights, idle crews and missed charters. A courier that treats the part like any other package adds hours. These are the reasons operators keep our number on the maintenance control board.
Available 24/7
Aircraft break at night and on weekends. AOG requests are accepted around the clock, not only during office hours.
Airport recovery experience
We work the Hartsfield-Jackson cargo areas regularly, which shortens the time between release and wheels rolling.
One part, one vehicle
An AOG shipment is not loaded with other stops, so its arrival time depends on the road, not on someone else's route.
